‘We miss Barcelona a lot’ – Lionel Messi sends heartfelt message to fans

Lionel Messi has given a new interview and talked about how much he misses life in Barcelona and would love to return with his family.

The GOAT has been back in the city this week, posting a photo of himself making a midnight visit to the Camp Nou, and says he can’t wait to visit the stadium properly when it’s finished.

Messi was asked if he had a message for Barcelona fans and was happy to talk about coming home.

“We miss Barcelona a lot, that the children continuously, and my wife, talk about Barcelona, the idea of living there again. We have our house, everything, so it’s what we want,” he told Sport.

“I’m really looking forward to returning to the stadium when it’s finished because since I went to Paris I haven’t returned to the Camp Nou either [note: the interview took place before his trip to Barca this week] and then they went to Montjuic.

“It’s going to be weird to go back to the new stadium and see it because the last time I saw it was a long time ago and it’s going to be exciting to live again and remember everything that was, beyond the fact that the stadium is different. Grateful for the affection as always and nothing but thank you.”

Messi is expected to stay in MLS a while longer as he’s just signed a contract through to the end of the 2028 season with Inter Miami.
