‘Not easy to answer’ – Hansi Flick sends message to Barcelona after yet another comeback

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has sent out a message after seeing his team forced to come from behind yet against this season against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League.

The Catalan giants have picked up a nasty habit of conceding first in the 2025-26 campaign, and Tuesday’s win was their seventh comeback of the season and their fourth in a row.

Flick was asked why Barca keep on going behind in games and had no ready answer, although he did tell his players he would much prefer to see his side score first.

“To answer this is not easy. For one side, I’m really happy how we come back. It shows a lot of our attitude and our mentality,” he told reporters.

“But sometimes it would also be good to start well and score the first goal! It is what it is. I’m really appreciative of what the team did today – we played fantastically in defence and it wasn’t easy to create good chances.”

Barcelona’s ability to turn games around deserves credit but it’s obvious that going a goal behind on a regular basis is not ideal.

Flick’s side now have three games left to play before the end of 2025 and will hope they don’t have to pull off any more comebacks. They face Osasuna and Villarreal in La Liga and Guadalajara in the Copa del Rey.
