Marcus Rashford misses training ahead of Barcelona’s clash with Athletic Club

Marcus Rashford has emerged as a doubt for Saturday’s La Liga clash between Barcelona and Athletic Club after missing training on Thursday.

The England international did not take part in the session due to “minor discomfort,” according to a report from Diario Sport.

Rashford’s absence will be a concern, with Barcelona set to return to action for the first time after the international break on Saturday afternoon at Camp Nou.

The forward returned to the club this week from international duty with England where he featured in both of the Three Lions’ World Cup qualifiers.

Rashford played 64 minutes of the win over Serbia and came on as a second-half substitute, and bagged an assist, in the game against Albania.

There’s no word yet on what the issue is with Rashford, although Sport say club sources indicate it is “nothing serious” which suggests he will hopefully be available.
