Lamine Yamal’s dad accused of ‘provoking’ Betis fans during Barcelona clash as security intervenes

Lamine Yamal’s father has been in the spotlight again after allegedly provoking Betis fans during Saturday’s La Liga game with Barcelona.

Mounir Nasraoui was in the stands at La Cartuja to watch his son in action but has been accused of making gestures towards home supporters that forced security to intervene.

Mundo Deportivo report that Yamal’s father had to be moved to a different part of the ground by security in a bid to try and keep the peace.

Journalist Yago de Vega was at the game and told ‘Carousel’ what he had heard about the incident.

“Friends tell me that they are 20 seats away from where Lamine Yamal’s father is located, that he has been making quite a few gestures, according to the version they tell me. Even provoking Betis fans at some point; there have been moments of tension,” he said.

Yamal’s father is no stranger to the spotlight. He’s made headlines on several occasions since his son broke into the first team, not least back in September when he heavily criticised the decision not to award Yamal the Ballon d’Or.
