Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski responds to Fenerbahce contract offer

Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has reportedly been offered a contract by Turkish side Fenerbahce.

According to Diario AS, Fener have offered Lewandowski an 18-month contract to join the club. However, Lewandowski rejected the offer as he wants a two-and-a-half-year contract.

The Turkish side are thought to be eager to strengthen their attack in the winter transfer window, but Lewandowski’s agent has already ruled out a mid-season move.

The striker wants to see out the season with Barcelona before making a final decision on his future.

Lewandowski’s priority is thought to be to stay at Barcelona, but it remains to be seen if the club are willing to offer an extension to a player who will turn 38 in August.

Barca reportedly believe they will be able to make a big-money signing next summer, despite their financial difficulties, with striker Harry Kane and Julian Alvarez currently being linked with a move to Camp Nou.
