Jules Kounde has emerged as a injury doubt for Barcelona ahead of Sunday’s La Liga game against Celta Vigo.
The defender couldn’t complete Saturday’s training session and may now miss the team’s final game before the international break.
Hansi Flick was asked about Kounde at his pre-match press conference and doubts he’ll be involved.
“Eric can play, he’s fine with the mask. Jules has not finished training and I have doubts that he will be in tomorrow’s squad. I don’t think he will make the squad, let’s wait. I have doubts,” he told reporters.
If Kounde does miss out then Flick will have to make changes to his backline once again. Eric could start at right-back, with Pau Cubarsi and Ronald Araujo featuring in central defence.
Andreas Christensen is also expected to be available. He trained normally on Saturday and may be another option for the German coach at Balaidos.
