Can Barcelona tempt Marc Guehi to Camp Nou?

Marc Guehi is emerging as a seriously hot property ahead of next summer’s transfer window as he’s out of contract at Crystal Palace and expected to move on.

Barcelona are one of several clubs being linked with the center-back as they attempt to bolster their backline in the summer.

The Catalans have made a habit of signing players on free transfers in recent seasons, not least due to financial constraints, and Guehi is a clear target, according to Cadena SER.

The only problem seems to be that Liverpool seem favorites to land Guehi after narrowly missing out in the England international in the last transfer window.

SER say that Barcelona are “closely monitoring” Guehi but add that “Liverpool have it pretty much wrapped up” when it comes to his future.

The Reds have issues in defence with Ibrahima Konaté tipped to leave, while Virgil van Dijk turned 34 last summer and is heading towards the end of his contract.

The smart money still seems to be on Liverpool signing Guehi but, as we all know, things can change quickly in football and Arne Slot’s side are enduring a difficult 2025-26 campaign so far which may give Barca hope.
