‘Two passes and they’re in’ – Eric Garcia says Barcelona must improve defensively

Eric Garcia admitted Barcelona have to improve defensively after drawing 3-3 with Club Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Hansi Flick’s side were carved open way too easily in Belgium and had to fight back three times to snatch a point.

Eric spoke afterwards and admitted it’s a problem for the team.

“They create a lot of danger for us; with two passes they’re in the box. It’s something we obviously need to improve. The team reacted well; we had a lot of chances,” he told the media.

“It’s tough to equalize and then concede five minutes later. There’s nothing else to do; we have to keep going.”

“This is everyone’s job. We’re losing possession in difficult areas and I think we need to minimize that.”

Eric was sent to hospital after the match following a late collision and admitted “I think they’ve broken my nose.”

Barcelona now head back to Spain for a La Liga clash with Celta Vigo on Sunday.
