Barcelona president Joan Laporta has joined Deco in backing Hansi Flick to turn the team’s form around after a disappointing draw against Club Brugge in midweek.
Flick has lost several key players to injury this season and has also seen his team ship goals in the early stages of the new campaign.
However, Laporta says he has full faith in Flick to turn things around.
“I’m not worried about our performance on the pitch. Obviously, we’re focused on improving every day, but I’m confident that our coach has a very clear vision,” he told the media.
“We’re second in La Liga, we have seven points in the Champions League, and we have to go for the three points against Chelsea.
“We trust our coach, Flick, and we’re currently getting players back from injury. We’re satisfied with how the team is playing and we’re sure it will pay off.”
Barcelona play Celta next in La Liga before La Liga pauses for an international break. Flick should then be able to welcome back Joan Garcia and Raphinha when domestic action resumes in what would be a big boost.
