‘The issue isn’t missing Inigo Martinez’ – Deco insists Barcelona are still not thinking about January transfers

Barcelona sporting director Deco has once again insisted the Catalan giants aren’t thinking about making any signings ahead of the January transfer window.

There have been a few whispers that Barcelona could look for defensive reinforcements during the winter window, after losing Inigo Martinez to Al-Nassr at the end of the summer, but Deco says that’s not on the agenda right now

“Iñigo has helped us a lot, the issue isn’t missing Iñigo, right now we’re not thinking about strengthening, we’re happy with the squad, we want the best players to return to have the most competitive squad possible,” he told the media.

Hansi Flick may therefore have to wait until next summer to see any new signings arrive at the club.

Barcelona are once again being linked with strikers, such as Harry Kane and Julian Alvarez, while the past week has since plenty of rumors about a potential move for Alejandro Grimaldo.
