Pedri to miss Chelsea clash, Marcus Rashford to return for Barcelona

After beating Athletic Club 4-0 on Saturday, Barcelona now have their sights set on a Champions League clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

Hansi Flick has been handed some mixed news on the injury front ahead of the game. Marcus Rashford was back in training on Sunday after a bout of flu, but Pedri is still not training with the team and is set to miss the game in London.

It had been hoped that Pedri would be available for the match, but Barcelona are not willing to take any risks with the Spain star as he’s still not feeling 100%, according to Sport.

Alejandro Balde also trained on Sunday morning and is expected to feature against the Premier League side after coming off early against Athletic Club following a blow to the head.

Flick will also be able to call on Frenkie de Jong for Tuesday’s match after the Dutchman missed the win over Ernesto Valverde’s side due to suspension.
