Speculation that Hansi Flick wants to leave Barcelona has been strongly played down on Wednesday ahead of the team’s Champions League clash with Club Brugge.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta has insisted that Flick is happy at the club, following a report he wants out at the end of the season, while the German coach has now reacted to the news as well.
“More rubbish…” is the response from the Barcelona coach, according to reporter Alfredo Martínez.
This is not the first time that Flick has addressed speculation about Barca. He called reports that he wanted to drop Lamine Yamal for the game against PSG as “bulls***” and a “rubbish rumor.”
Flick has also regularly said publicly about how happy he is at Barcelona and how he loves the club.
The German coach is currently contracted to Barcelona until 2027 and has made it clear previously he prefers to work on short-term contracts.
