‘I know Hansi Flick is very happy’ – Joan Laporta responds to Barcelona exit talk

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has insisted Hansi Flick is very happy at the club following a report earlier today that the coach is “very tired” and has told his staff he wants to leave at the end of the season.

A report from ABC claims Flick is frustrated with his team’s attitude, the special treatment handed out to Lamine Yamal and a lack of support from the board and has decided this season will be his last.

Laporta spoke about Flick ahead of tonight’s game with Club Brugge and

“I know that  Hansi Flick is very happy and excited about our return to the stadium, which will have a capacity of 105,000 spectators,” he told reporters.

“The team is improving, it’s on an upward trajectory. On Sunday, all three forwards scored, and we’re happy with the progress. We have some absences, which aren’t an excuse, but it’s a reality. These absences disrupted our plans, although now the injured players are recovering, and we’re progressing little by little.”

Flick also spoke about his happiness at the club ahead of the game at his pre-match press conference, saying: “I love this club, I love the players. I’m very happy at Barça and in the city of Barcelona. I will give my best.”
