Barcelona star Pedri names his favorites for the 2025-26 Champions League

Barcelona star Pedri has been quizzed on which teams he thinks have the best chance of winning the Champions League this season.

Hansi Flick’s side will be hoping to lift trophy, after making it to the semi-finals last season, but still have work to do to reach the knockout stages.

Pedri has now shared his thoughts on the competition and thinks there are several teams in contentions to be crowned champions of Europe.

“PSG, the current champions. Arsenal is also a very strong team. And I’d always include City and Real Madrid among the contenders,” he told Esquire magazine.

“One team I see as strong, and that has pleasantly surprised me, is Sporting Lisbon, where my friend Trincão plays. They play good football.”

Barcelona still have two games left to play in the league phase which will take place in 2026. Flick’s side face Slavia Prague first up and then wrap up their group campaign against FC Copenhagen.
