Barcelona fear Dani Olmo out until 2026 with dislocated shoulder

Barcelona fear Dani Olmo will be out until January after suffering a dislocated shoulder during Tuesday’s win over Atletico Madrid.

Olmo put Barcelona 2-1 up in the match but fell awkwardly after scoring and went off. He looked to be in real pain as he departed and was seen holding his shoulder.

Early reports from Mundo Deportivo and Diario Sport say that Barca fear Olmo has dislocated his shoulder and will miss at least three weeks.

Olmo dislocated his shoulder previously at RB Leipzig, and had to undergo surgery, and the fear is that he’s suffered a similar injury.

Hansi Flick confirmed after the win over Atletico that Olmo will undergo tests, but it seems the coach may lose yet another key player to injury for the final weeks of the year.

Barca see out 2025 with games against Real Betis, Osasuna and Villarreal in La Liga and also take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League.
