Roony Bardghji is hoping for more minutes at Barcelona after impressing on Saturday in the 5-3 win over Real Betis in La Liga.
The youngster was a surprise starter against Manuel Pellegrini’s side but grabbed his first Barcelona goal during the match and also bagged an assist.
He spoke to the media afterwards and made it clear he wants more game time with Hansi Flick’s side.
“It’s an incredible feeling to score my first goal. I’m very happy, We’ve been training really well and we’re on the right track; we must continue on this path,” he told the media.
“I was coming off a period where I hadn’t played much and I’m grateful for these minutes, I’m very happy with the victory. I hope to have more minutes and be able to help the team.
“I had to be in the right place, I saw that Pedri had the ball and I just had to shoot if he passed it to me.”
Roony also earned praise from Flick after the game. The Barcelona boss told reporters: “Roony Bardghji is an option. Just like Lamine in the middle. I asked him if he would like to play as a 10 and he said yes. Roony has had a great game. Now we have another option.”
