Eric Garcia set to sign new five-year contract at Barcelona

Eric Garcia is reportedly set to sign a new five-year contract at Barcelona after agreeing terms on an extension with the Catalan giants.

Talks between the two parties have been ongoing for a little while now, and Fabrizio Romano says he will put pen to paper on a new contract next week that will run until 2030.

Eric is in the midst of a remarkable season for Barcelona after previously looking destined for the exit. He’s become a vital player for Hansi Flick, able to play at right-back, center half or in midfield.

He’s even playing with a mask right now after sustaining a broken nose in the Champions League against Club Brugge.

Garcia’s current contract is due to expire at the end of the season, but it looks as though his future has now been settled and he will continue at the club where he first started out.
