Barcelona join Arsenal and Liverpool in race to land RB Leipzig wonderkid Assan Ouédraogo

Barcelona have reportedly joined the race to sign Germany and RB Leipzig wonderkid Assan Ouédraogo.

A new report from Sport Bild claims that Barcelona have joined Arsenal and Liverpool in tracking the 19-year-old and have sent scouts to watch him in action.

Ouédraogo has three goals and four assists in 12 matches for Leipzig so far this season and has seen his fine performances rewarded with a call-up to the Germany international team.

There’s no doubt he’s an exciting talent but, with Dani Olmo and Fermin Lopez already in the squad, it’s not clear yet if Barca are serious contenders for his signature.

Indeed it’s been reported that Barca’s priorities next summer are a full-back, left winger and a striker in a bid to strengthen the squad if finances allow.

RB Leipzig only paid 10 million euros last summer to sign Ouédraogo but could be set to make a huge profit on him if the big boys come swooping in at the end of the season.
