Lamine Yamal picked up the Stéfano Award for best player of the season from MARCA this week and spoke about his desire to win more trophies.
The teenager bagged La Liga, Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup trophies last season but, when quizzed which trophy he wants most next, says he wants to win the lot.
“All the individual titles indicate that it has been a great season for the team. For me, it brings me happiness and pride. Accumulating awards at my age is very positive. I’m going to keep working and fighting to achieve things like this,” he said.
“La Liga, Champions League, World Cup or Ballon d’Or? I want it all. Hopefully I can achieve everything and, as long as we can play, it is possible to achieve it.”
Yamal and Barcelona will be back at Camp Nou on Saturday against Athletic Club, with the teenager looking forward to playing at the famous stadium following renovation work.
“The fans mean a lot. We’ve been playing in a stadium that wasn’t ours,” he added.
“Montjuïc was fine, but it wasn’t what we wanted. Camp Nou will be a huge support for everyone and will be a big boost for the rest of the season.”
Yamal has been back in training with Barcelona this week, after missing out on international duty with Spain, and is expected to feature at some point on Saturday.
